Hotel Tales Soundtrack DLC

Forty-plus compositions from the crossroads hotel — optional audio, not extra shifts.

Soundtrack DLC

The Hotel Tales Soundtrack is a standalone Steam music pack (app 4082190) released with the base game on July 31, 2026. Store copy says it contains 40+ compositions from the game. Typical US list price is $2.99. It does not include the base game. It does not add guests, achievements, or story flags. If you want new chapters, you are in the wrong aisle — see Post-Release Story DLC. This page covers what the soundtrack is, how it sits inside Deluxe, and how to find the files after checkout.

Confirm live pricing on the Soundtrack store listing and on the base game page. Regional carts and bundle discounts move.

What you are buying

  • Format: Official soundtrack / Steam music extra, 40+ tracks per the store.
  • Requirement: The listing is additional content for Hotel Tales; Deluxe owners already have it in the eight-item bundle.
  • Gameplay impact: None. Spa rhythm and disco still use the in-game mix whether or not you own the album.
  • Mature listing: Same adult-content disclosure family as the base game. The album does not make the sim less explicit.

The in-game mix is what you hear during mini-games and evening scenes. The DLC is the take-home playlist — lobby motifs, spa/disco cues, quieter corridor beds — for players who want the hotel on a commute. It will not skip a puzzle.

Soundtrack versus Deluxe versus singles

ProductSoundtrack included?
Base game onlyIn-game music during play; no separate album SKU
Soundtrack DLC (this page)Yes — à-la-carte album
Deluxe EditionYes, as one of eight items
Artbook / Animations / Skins / WallpapersNo

If you already own Deluxe, do not repurchase 4082190 unless Steam shows a gift or regional oddity. If you only want music, skip Deluxe math and buy this SKU. Use the DLC Buyer Guide to add today’s numbers by hand. Mid-August Deluxe carts were still cheaper than summing every extra when you wanted four or more packs; soundtrack-alone buyers should ignore that sentence.

How to open the soundtrack after purchase

Steam music extras vary by client version. Try in this order:

  1. Steam library → Music (or the soundtrack entry under Hotel Tales DLC) and play inside the client.
  2. Right-click Hotel TalesManageBrowse local files. Look for a folder named Soundtrack, OST, or similar English folder title even if your UI is French or German.
  3. If the folder is empty, open the game’s DLC tab, confirm Hotel Tales Soundtrack is installed, restart Steam, then verify integrity of game files.

Do not confuse this folder with Animations, Artbook, Comics, or Wallpapers. Those are other SKUs documented in the DLC Catalog.

AI disclosure (same studio note)

TopHouse’s Steam disclosure on related products states that character designs are created manually, while AI speeds up drawing of details and backgrounds, and that AI is not used to generate content during play. The soundtrack page is audio, not a drawing pipeline. We repeat the disclosure because collectors often read every DLC tab as one legal blob. For process art, buy the Artbook.

Who should buy it

Strong fit: you already finished a route and still hum the disco or bar beds; you want a legal album instead of ripping the game folder; you are filling Deluxe anyway.

Skip for now: you have not decided if the job-sim loop is for you. Play the demo or a retail week first. A $3 album will not fix mini-game length complaints.

Voice acting is not this pack. English and Russian dubs live in the base client. Split voice from text with Patch 1.0.2 and Languages & Voice. Muting the Narrator does not require the OST.

The soundtrack is a souvenir from the front desk — optional, portable, and useless as a master key. Buy it when you already like the hotel’s voice. Leave it on the shelf if you are still arguing with the luggage puzzle.
