Hotel Tales DLC Buyer Guide

This tool is a markdown decision list for Hotel Tales add-ons after the July 31, 2026 launch. It is not an interactive price calculator. Steam regional prices and discounts change. Tick the boxes in your notes, then open the live store page. Pair this page with the DLC Catalog for app IDs and with Steam Bundles for publisher pairings.

As of August 22, 2026: install through v1.1.4 (August 18) for map talks, Gallery unlock, and mini-game polish. Cosmetic DLC is live. Story DLC is not. Reviews sit Mostly Positive — 79% of 427 Steam purchaser reviews (427 All). The launch -10% on the base game had dropped off the public US widget ($14.99).

Step 0 — do you even like the loop?

• I finished or sampled the free demo (two days, eight mini-games) or I already own retail and like check-in / spa / bar.
• I read Getting Started and Steam Reviews.
• I understand the game is adult-only on Steam.

If any box is empty, stop. DLC will not fix a loop you dislike.

Hotel Tales hotel atmosphere before you add DLC

Step 1 — story versus extras

• I only want the probation story, 52 achievements, and romance / guest arcs → base game only. Install through 1.1.4. You are done.
• I want Nikki parallel comics → Comics DLC or Deluxe.
• I want 20+ extra animations as files → Animations Pack (4082160) or Deluxe.
• I want the 200+ page artbook → Artbook (4082150) or Deluxe.
• I want desktop wallpapers only → Wallpapers Pack (4082170).
• I want more outfits → Skins Pack (4082180) + Wardrobe.
• I want the soundtrack → app 4082190 or Deluxe.
• I want FEMBOY FUTA HOUSE too → Crossover Bundle / Femboy Futa Hotel, then decide Deluxe separately.
• I want new Hotel Tales guests after launch → wishlist follow only. Nothing in the cart is that DLC.

Step 2 — Deluxe math (manual)

Write today’s Steam numbers:

• Base: ______

• Singles total: ______
• Deluxe cart: ______

If you want four or more extras, Deluxe usually wins. If you want one comic, buy Vol.1 or Vol.2. If you already own Deluxe, do not rebuy singles.

Step 3 — two-game bags

• I already own FEMBOY FUTA HOUSE → skip Femboy Futa Hotel unless Steam still discounts a missing Hotel Tales SKU.
• I do not want FFH → ignore August 10 marketing except as a skin checklist.
• A bundle named Sex, Secrets & Used Tech, Tennis Angels EX, or Forbidden & Mythical appeared → read its item list. Those are other games, not spa DLC. Dedicated pages: Sex Secrets, Tennis Angels, Forbidden & Mythical.

Step 4 — install hygiene

After any purchase:

1. Confirm items on the DLC tab.
2. Update through 1.0.7 so Gallery pings and save/coin bugs are gone.
3. Browse local files for Artbook / Animations / comic folders.
4. Open wardrobe and Gallery once so 1.0.2 notification fixes can fire.
5. Track play on the Post-Launch Checklist — DLC does not auto-complete achievements.

Common cart mistakes

• Buying Deluxe because the August 10 post named skins — those looks are already a crossover checklist, not eight extra chapters.
• Buying Femboy Futa Hotel when you only wanted Marsh — he is a Hotel Tales guest, not a second-game unlock.
• Buying comics and Deluxe in the same session — Steam will not gift you a second copy of Vol.1.
• Skipping 1.0.7 after a DLC install, then blaming Deluxe for a choice-save or Gallery ping that the hotfix already covers.
• Treating Tennis Angels EX or Sex, Secrets & Used Tech as spa DLC. They are other games. Read the item list.

If two of those mistakes apply, close the cart and reopen the DLC Catalog with this checklist beside it.
