Lady Borealis is a named Hotel Tales guest whose launch-week fame is unusually specific: TopHouse’s Changelog v1.0.2 (August 3, 2026) fixed a swimsuit skin that was not applying correctly. That is not a joke changelog line. In a game that sells spa stages, wardrobe packs, and evening presentation as part of the job, a broken swimsuit is a broken scene. This page explains what the patch implies, how to verify the fix, and how Borealis sits beside other retail guests without inventing a romance route TopHouse has not advertised.

Why a skin bug is a character page

Hotel Tales does not treat outfits as a pause-menu doll. Wardrobe & Skins and Cards & Outfits describe clothes as presentation that scenes comment on — spa towels, evening looks, guest packs, and crossover cosmetics. If Lady Borealis’s swimsuit failed to apply, players could:

• See a default or wrong outfit during a scene that assumes the swimsuit.
• Miss a Gallery preview that 1.0.2 also tried to notify correctly.
• Think they had not unlocked a cosmetic they already owned.

After you update through at least 1.0.2 (and preferably 1.0.7 for Gallery previews and missing mini-game cards), re-open wardrobe, re-equip the swimsuit, and replay the related spa or evening beat from a pre-scene save. Saves & Voice covers why Continue mid-scene is a bad test.

The same patch fixed wrong time-of-day backgrounds, Nikki’s photo, and Laveau’s Hands. Borealis is the only named guest skin in that list. She is a presentation-critical visitor — likely tied to wellness or water-adjacent staging, which is why the swimsuit mattered enough to print.

Where she sits on the roster

Official marketing still leads with four staff romances (spa, bar, and the rest of the core cast) and four guest arcs. Lady Borealis is confirmed as a named guest with a unique skin, not as “the fifth staff route.” Do not overwrite Pasithea’s spa ownership in your notes. Borealis is someone the spa serves or stages, not the department head.

Prep that still helps:

• Finish spa tutorials in Mini-Games so multi-stage treatments do not fail on execution.
• Keep an evening free if her visit overlaps a staff date. Relationships & Choices applies to guests too.
• Read Hotel Locations for the spa wing and guest rooms so you are not hunting a hotspot on the wrong floor.
• If her scenes mention cold, aurora, or “northern” imagery, log those as Key Phrase candidates — but do not invent phrase text this wiki has not seen in official notes.

Cosmetics, Deluxe, and crossovers

A swimsuit can come from base unlocks, the Skins Pack, Deluxe Edition, or a later wardrobe refresh. This wiki will not guess the SKU. After purchase:

1. Confirm the item on Steam’s DLC tab.
2. Browse local files only if a pack (Artbook / Animations) says to.
3. Equip the look in-game — folder files do not auto-dress Borealis.
4. After the August 10 crossover bundle news, do not confuse FFH skins (Bella, Lucy, Morgan, Lavo, Nikki, Pasiphea) with Borealis’s own swimsuit. Different IPs, different hangers.

1.0.2 added separate voice language and mute toggles. 1.0.7 added Hotel Stories VO and updated Gallery previews. If Borealis’s card looks wrong or silent, follow Gallery & Hotel Stories after updating. Missing mini-games in Gallery were also a 1.0.7 add — spa-adjacent activities may appear there late.
